How We Picked These Cryptocurrencies

Selecting the next cryptocurrency to explode in 2024 was a subjective process. However, I implemented a strict methodology to ensure my chosen coins have the best chance of outperforming the market.   

Below, I explain the research methods deployed when assessing the next big crypto.

Diverse Range of Crypto Coins

First, I ensured that a diverse range of crypto coins were considered. This ensures that investors enter the market with best practices in mind. For instance, some of the cryptocurrencies selected are brand-new projects. 

Pepe Unchained, Crypto All-Stars, and Base Dawgz, for example, are currently in presale. While these projects carry the most risk, they also offer the biggest upside potential. 

After all, investors can buy these cryptocurrencies at a small market capitalization. I also included established cryptocurrencies with a larger market capitalization. Examples include BNB, Solana, Uniswap, and Chainlink. 

While these projects offer a smaller upside when compared to Smog, the risks are also lower. Ultimately, this approach allows investors to diversify their holdings and remain risk-averse. 

Substantial Upside Potential

All of the selected cryptocurrencies have the potential to explode. This means outperforming the broader market and producing superior gains to Bitcoin. The upside potential is, however, depending on the market capitalization. 

For example, I mentioned that Smog currently has a market capitalization of just $23 million. Gains of 10x from here would require a valuation of just $230 million. Not only is this achievable but it could be secured within weeks. This is because Smog is creating significant hype. 

The larger-cap projects I selected also have the potential to blow up. Albeit with a more modest upside. For example, Uniswap is currently valued at $4 billion. I would argue this is still a drop in the ocean. After all,  Uniswap is the largest and most trusted decentralized exchange. 

There are also solid arguments for Chainlink, BNB, and Decentraland based on current valuations. 

Long-Term Use Cases

I also explored the long-term use case when selecting the next best crypto to explode. This ensures organic growth over time, rather than relying on short-term speculation. 

$LINK tokens also have a solid use case. They’re required to query data from offline sources. This enables developers to implement real-world data into decentralized smart contracts. 

Arbitrum has also developed an important use case for its native tokens, $ARB. In a nutshell, Ethereum-based projects can bridge to Abritrum to vastly improve scalability and reduce transaction fees. Any transactions going through Arbitrum require $ARB tokens, which creates consistent demand.   

Hype and Speculation 

Although I prefer long-term cryptocurrencies with a clear use case, there’s also room for speculative projects. In particular, I’m talking about meme coins. After all, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu both have questionable use cases – but they’re multi-billion dollar projects nonetheless. 

Similarly, Pepe exploded by over 7,000% in 2023. And then there’s Bonk. After hitting all-time highs of $0.00003419 in December 2023, early investors cashed in gains of over 22,000%. 

Passive Staking Rewards

Investors should also consider passive income when researching the next cryptocurrency to explode in 2024. After all, the crypto markets are volatile. Staking ensures that passive income is earned even when prices are bullish. I found that new cryptocurrencies typically offer the highest APYs. 

For example, Pepe Unchained is currently offering an APY of 1,200%. Established picks like Solana, BNB, and Arbitrum also support passive rewards. APYs will vary depending on demand, although they’re typically much lower than small-cap projects.

CoinGecko should be your first port of call. This is the leading data aggression website for cryptocurrency data, offering insights into things like price, market cap, circulating supply, total supply, tokenomics, smart contract addresses, and more. It offers many different ways to find high-potential coins.

If you’re a short-term trader, check out the ‘Gainers and Losers’ section. This shows you the best-performing cryptocurrencies in the prior 24 hours. You can also change the time frame to 1-hour, seven days, and a month. 

CoinGecko also shows the most recent cryptocurrencies to be added to its platform. This is ideal for finding new cryptocurrencies with the potential to explode. Investors can also check the ‘Trending’ section. You’ll see which cryptocurrencies are getting the most views. Investors can also explore exchanges for recent trends. For instance, most leading exchanges show the best-performing coins over a set period. You might find a cryptocurrency is trending on one exchange, but not others. This could be an early sign that it’s about to boom.
